1.     Ben Carson was a neurosurgeon that achieved fame by separating two conjoined twins and offered groundbreaking work to the medical field.

2.    After trying to separate the Makwaeba twins and failing he continued to persevere and practice. When he attempted to separate Luka and Joseph Banda, the operation was successful despite the fact that it was an extremely difficult operation.

3.    Technology impacted this arête experience because it is necessary in order to perform such drastic operations and without the use of technology, this operation would have been unsuccessful.

4.    I think this is an amazing arête experience because it inspires me to preserver to become a physician. He is inspiring many children across the nation and contributing to his community.
